New Ski Lifts in 50 million expansion of the High King Mountain (Hochkonig) Ski area!

New Ski run from Hinterthal - Hintermoos (Open this season)

New Giant snow cannons on the Hochmais (no snow to ski in 3 days!)

New lift station at Hintermoos (you now ski over a bridge)

The plan is to make new lifts in Hintermoos (2009), Hintermoos - Hinterthal (2010), Hinterthal main lift (2011).

Hinterthal creams the Maria Alm county Golf Championships!

On Saturday was the Maria Alm county golf championships.

As you know there is a lot of rivalry between Mara Alm 'the Town' and Hinterthal (the place to be)

(part of the Maria Alm county but NOT Maria Alm!)

But Hinterthal managed to take most of the prizes home, yet again!

Sascha (from the Alm Bar) won the 'County Champion' spot with a round of 3 over.

Ludwig (from the Obermoosbach) took second place in Cat A and fourth overall with 39 points (5 Over).

Carl (Haus Salzburg) took 1st Cat B with 40 Points (15 Over)

Much drink was consumed in celebration! No Surprise there then!

Bauerherbst Hinterthal

This weekend was Bauernherbst - or harvet festival in Hinterthal

Basically the village is turned into one big bar!
